Atorvastatin can cause a severe allergic reaction in the form of swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; trouble while breathing and choking while difficulty swallowing. Never take this drug if you are allergic to it as it can be fatal. Also keep away from drinking grapefruit juice as it builds up of Atorvastatin in your blood, causing muscle breakdown. Alcoholic drinks enhance the risk of liver disease while receiving the statin drug.
