Everyone wants to flaunt beautiful, healthy skin. However, it is not just about slathering your face with a host of expensive creams and lotions. Your lifestyle too has a lot to do with how your skin feels and looks.

Life during your 20’s can be quite a roller coaster. As you juggle your studies, career choices, responsibilities, and all the partying, you might not have the time to give attention to your skin. However, this is the time to take good care of your skin for the later years. It is in the 20s that your skin is at its resilient best. It is the time to protect your skin from any damage and nourish it to last firm and young for many more years.
Here are some tips for healthy skin.
Use anti aging products – It is never too late to start using anti aging products. The sooner you start, the better it is for your skin. Pick anti aging products as per your skin type and condition, and start taking good care to get glowing skin.
Use sunscreen – Sun damage is a big skin threat that can lead to wrinkles, fine lines, solar acne and pigmentation. Skipping sunscreen is the biggest mistake anyone can make. Of all the products and treatments that you use on your skin, the sunscreen is the most inexpensive and the most essential. Get into the habit of wearing SPF30 daily.
Don’t forget your hands and neck – Your neck and hands are exposed to the sun a lot. Whatever you do to your face, make sure to do to your neck and hands as well.
Use eye cream – The skin around your eyes is thin and very sensitive. This is the first place where the wrinkles first appear. Start using an eye cream from your mid-20s onwards to retain moisture in the area and avoid crow’s feet. Don’t forget to wear your shades whenever you are out in the sun.
Take antioxidants – Include a diet that is packed with antioxidants for that healthy glow from within. Avoid smoking – Smoking is one bad skin habit that you must break ASAP if you want to get glowing skin. It restricts blood supply to the skin and is one of the fastest ways to get wrinkles on the skin.
Treat your acne – If you have acne, get it treated by your dermatologist. If left untreated, it can worsen the skin on your face and lead to premature aging.
Exercise – A regular regime of exercises will help increase the blood supply to the skin, making it look healthier and youthful for a long time. Exercise improves blood circulation to the skin and can work drastically to get glowing skin and enhance your overall health.
Food – Several studies have shown that what we eat really has an effect on our skin. Foods that are high in processed carbohydrates and sugar are bad for your skin health. It can cause inflammation and increase toxicity in the skin.
Cleansing – One essential step in skincare in your 20s is cleansing, toning and moisturising the skin.
