The official data shows that opioid and heroin addiction have become an epidemic in the USA over the last 15 years. Barring a few states, the drug addiction deaths have seen a sharp increment across the country. The total number of deaths due to drug overdose was about 47,055 only in 2014 in the country. Therefore, there is an urgent need to increase the Rehabilitation of substance abuse in the USA to save the generation from deteriorating further.

The physicians, counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, self-help groups and social workers assist the patients to recover from the drug addiction. Many of the patients take specific treatment services through outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings as well as a number of therapeutic interventions to come out of the addiction cycle.

This Act offers an opportunity to study how innovations in service delivery, organization structures, and financing can help to improve the condition of drug abuse patients.
