What Is Sumatriptan 50 mg Used For

Sumatriptan 50mg is a medicine, which is commonly used in treating migraine headache and associated symptoms such as, feeling or being sick, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine symptoms are caused due to the temporary widening of blood vessels in the area of the head. Sumatriptan helps to reduce the widening of these blood vessels to a great extent, which in turn relieve a headache and take away other symptoms of a migraine attack. The medicine can stop the migraine attack only when it has started. It doesn’t work to stop you from getting an attack. So, in such case, you must not use Sumatriptan to prevent a migraine attack.
