Eyelashes are an important part of our overall personality. Sparse or thin eyelashes fade away unnoticed, but a perfect, thick lash line draws all the attention needed. There are several ways to get longer eyelashes, including home remedies and medicines.

Eyelashes are the strands of hair that line the outer lining of our eyes. Many people are blessed with thick and long lashes, but people of some races do not have much longer eyelashes to flaunt. It becomes a horrifying moment to see the already sparse eyelashes falling off. If you are worried about your thin eyelashes and completely losing all lash hair, don’t worry. This article may be of some use to you.

Eyelashes:

Eyelashes are of great use to our eyes; they protect our eyes from the dust and dirt from entering into our eyes. Eyelashes are also sensitive to touch, making the eyelids shut down when some foreign particle comes near the eyes.

In many cultures, eyelashes are considered a symbol of feminity and beauty. If you don’t have long lashes, you are not considered beautiful. However, many options are available today for those thicker and darker eyelashes.

Falling of eyelashes:

Many times, due to illness or a deficiency in the body, people suffer from falling eyelash hair. Some diseases of eyelashes are madarosis, trichiasis, and blepharitis.

However, applying too much eye makeup, shadow, eyeliner, and mascara can cause irritation to the roots of the eyelashes. Vigorous eye rubbing and using strong chemicals for makeup removal may also trigger eyelash fall.

Growing eyelashes back:

It is normal to lose a few strands of lash hair occasionally, and they usually grow back on their own after a few days. Just like the hair on the head, lash hair also grows in cycles, starting with a growth phase and then the resting phase, etc. At the end of a resting phase, the eyelashes fall off, but this lash hair grows back in some time. On average, all the lash hair grows in one to six months.

There are several ways to get longer lashes, including home remedies and medicinal options. But before following all these, one must know how to take care of eyelashes and what not to do with their eyelashes. Eyelashes should never be vigorously rubbed, and makeup items older than six months should not be used or discarded. You must always remember to clean your makeup before going to bed. For cleaning purposes, you can use water/olive oil to rub off the makeup remains from the eyes.

Natural ways to get longer lashes:

There are several home remedies to get longer eyelashes:

  1. Use petroleum jelly:

You can nourish your upper eyelashes by applying a thin layer of Vaseline every night before going to bed. This will help improve their growth.

  1. Egg whites plus castor oil:

Make a mixture of egg whites and castor oil and apply it to your eyelashes with a Q-tip. Sleep with the paste on your eyelids, and within a few weeks, you can see the difference.

  1. Vitamin E or olive oil:

It is one of the best-known home remedies for eyelash growth. Both of these help the eyelashes grow stronger and longer.

  1. Green tea:

Freshly prepared green tea solution is very good for eyelashes. It is known to improve eyelash growth and make the eyes thicker from the roots, as well as adding shine to the lashes.

Using Careprost for eyelash growth:

Careprost is Bimatoprost ophthalmic  0.03% w/v per 3ml bottle. It is a product used to make eyelashes grow thicker and keep them healthy and soft. Careprost has shown 100% effectiveness in increasing the length of eyelashes.

To use this product, you need to apply the serum to the upper lash line once every night before bed. Doing this for 2-3 weeks will make the lashes grow thicker. For fuller and maximum results, you will have to wait for at least three months. To maintain the desired lash length, you can keep on applying the serum thrice a week.

You can get larger and darker eyelashes by using eyelash growth serums available in the market or online and several home remedies.
