Cwin cream (ciclopirox olamine cream)
Cwin ciclopirox olamine cream is a prescription treatment for patients with fungal skin and nail infections. It contains Ciclopirox, an antifungal agent that stops fungus growth, thus treating the infection. The antifungal cream is primarily used to treat athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm of the body.
How to use Cwin Cream?
Cwin is for topical use only. Apply the cream as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you may be advised to use the topical formulation daily. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. Complete the full course even though symptoms may be improved and notify your dermatologist if there is no improvement after four weeks of regular usage. Inform your dermatologist if the application area shows signs of increased irritation, itching, redness, burning sensation, swelling, blistering, and burning. Do not wrap the treated area unless advised by your dermatologist.
What precautions are to be taken?
If you are allergic to Ciclopirox cream or any of the ingredients in Cwin cream, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, talk to your doctor before using the medicine. The topical formulation is not recommended for use in children below ten years. If you are using any steroidal cream, lotion, or ointment, please inform your doctor as you may need a dose adjustment. Do not use more than the prescribed amount or for a longer duration as it may cause unwanted effects. Also, make sure you do not wrap the affected area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Wear loose clothes. Do not apply the cream on cuts and broken skin.
What are the side effects of Cwin 60 gm?
Most of the patients using Cwin cream may experience irritation, itching, and burning sensation at the application site. Most side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve independently. Connect to your doctor if any of these side effects persist or become troublesome.
