Farobact ER 300mg is a prescription medicine used for treating a variety of bacterial infections. It treats and controls infections of the nose, ears, throat, skin, lungs, and urinary tract. The active ingredient of the medicine is Faropenem, which is an antibiotic class of medication. The antibiotic medicine works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial wall in order to kill bacteria. 

Uses of Farobact ER

Farobact is commonly prescribed for the treatment of infections of respiratory and urinary tract. It is also given to patients with skin and skin structure infections and gynecological infections. The medicine is classified under the category of antibiotic drugs. The oral treatment treats, controls, and prevents the symptoms associated with the following conditions:

• Lower respiratory tract infections

• Ent infection

Dosing information

Before using the extended-release tablet, inform your health care specialist about all the medications you have been currently using. Take Foracort ER 300mg tablet without regards to food. A patient is advised not to take more than the recommended amount. Consult your health care specialist if you experience undesired effects. Make sure you complete the treatment course.  Do not discontinue the treatment without having words with your health care provider.

Forabact related warnings

Don’t use the antibiotic medication if you are allergic its active ingredient or have a history of hypersensitivity. Before taking the tablet, notify your health care specialist if you allergic to any medicine, you suffer from kidney problem, diarrhea, vitamin k deficiency, you an elderly patient, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. 

Side Effects

In addition to its health benefits, Farobact ER tablet may cause some unwanted effects as well. In such a case, one needs to take medical advice as soon as possible. Please let your health care provider know if you experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and seizure. Possible drug interactions

Using other drugs during Forabact treatment can increase the likelihood of having adverse effects. Taking Forabact tablet with other medications can cause your medicine to not work properly. It is necessary to inform your health care specialist about all the medications you use including herbal supplements.
