Irovel 300mg tablet is mainly prescribed for the treatment and management of high blood pressure (hypertension). Managing high blood pressure is important for preventing strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
Irovel is primarily used alone, but sometimes it is used in combination with other antihypertensive drugs to maintain optimal blood pressure control. In those with type 2 diabetes mellitus and high blood pressure, Irovel is used to reduce the progression of kidney damage. It is effective in individuals with proteinuria (the presence of excess protein in urine), a marker of kidney dysfunction.

How to use Irovel 300mg

The dosage of Irovel depends on the patient's conditions and the severity of the disease. It is strictly used under the guidance of physicians. In general, the initial dose for adults with hypertension is 150 mg once a day, which may be increased to 300 mg daily to achieve better blood pressure control.
For diabetic nephropathy, the dose is often 300 mg daily, as studies have shown this dose provides maximum kidney protection. Irovel can be taken with or without food, but it should be taken at the same time regularly to maintain optimal blood levels. It is important to stick to the dosage as prescribed by a physician and not to stop the medication suddenly without medical supervision, even if the blood pressure appears to be under control. If you miss a dose of Irovel, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the time to take the next scheduled dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing schedule. Avoid doubling up the dose to make up for a missed one.
