Nintena 100mg
Nintena 100 mg is a prescription medicine used to treat the following conditions:
- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis- A serious, progressive lung disorder that causes tissue to build up in the lungs, making the lungs unable to transport enough oxygen into the bloodstream.
- Chronic interstitial lung disease (group of lungs disorders) in which lung fibrosis (lung scarring) continue to progress
- Slow down the rate of decline in lung function
Treatment should be started by a health care expert experienced in managing diseases for which Nintena is approved.
How to use Nintena 100 mg
Take Nintena 100 mg the same way your doctor has prescribed you. Your doctor will tell you how much Nintedanib to take and when to take it. It is best to take the capsule with food. Swallow the capsule with a glass of water. Do not chew or open capsules. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Continue to take medicine even if you feel well because sudden discontinuation may worsen your condition.
What precautions should be taken?
Before taking Nintena 100 mg, let your doctor know if you have bleeding problems, kidney or liver problems, or are taking medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect how Nintedanib works, so let your doctor know all the medicines you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Patients are advised to use effective contraceptive methods to avoid pregnancy. Nintedanib can cause congenital disabilities or the death of an unborn baby. Women with childbearing potential should use effective birth control methods at least three months after treatment. It is not whether the medication is safe and effective in children. Let your doctor know of all the medicines you have been using, including herbal supplements. Keep a list of medicines you take and show it to your doctor when you get a new medicine.
What are the side effects of Nintena 100 mg?
The most side effects of Nintena 100 mg are nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, liver problems, headache, weight loss, high blood pressure, vomiting, and decreased appetite. These all are not possible side effects of Nintedanib.
