Rivaflo 2.5 mg
Rivaflo 2.5 tablet is a medicine known as an anticoagulant or blood thinner. Doctors prescribed this medicine to reduce the risk of getting clots in people who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgeries. It helps prevent and treat blood clots and reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack. This medicine prevents and treats clot formation in the veins of your legs, lungs, brain and heart. This keeps your blood flowing freely around your body and makes it less likely that a clot will form inside a blood vessel.
How to use Rivaflo 2.5 tablet?
Take Rivaflo 2.5 as per your doctor advice. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will advise the correct dose depending upon your condition. Do not chew or break it; swallow the medicine whole with a glass of water. Do not stop taking it unless you change the dose without guidance from your doctor, as it could put you more at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or thrombosis (formation of a blood clot within a blood vessel). Do not take two or more doses of the medicine simultaneously without consulting your doctor, and always take this medicine on time.
What are the Warning and Precaution?
Inform your physician if you are :
- Pregnant or breastfeed while taking this medicine
- Suffering from kidney or liver problems
- Taking other medicines to reduce blood clotting.
- A regular blood test (PT-INR) is not required while taking this medicine.
- Rivaflo should not be taken in severe bleeding and hypersensitivity reaction to Rivaroxaban.
- Reduce your risk of having a blood clot by changing your lifestyle, such as not smoking, eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise and losing weight if you need.
What are the side effects of Rivaflo 2.5 mg?
Some side effects such as:
- Bleeding disorders
- Bruising and swelling
- Anemia, tiredness or paleness
- Fever
- Stomach pain, indigestion
- Nausea or vomiting
- Headache, dizziness
- Skin rash
