Rivaflo 2.5 mg
Rivaflo contains the active substance Rivaroxaban and belongs to a class of medications known as anticoagulants. It helps to treat and prevent blood clots. It is also effective at reducing the risk of stroke and heart attack. Rivaflo treats clot formation in the veins of your legs, brain, heart, and lungs.

Rivaflo can prevent blood clots from getting bigger so your body can dissolve them over time. It is also effective in preventing new ones from forming. It functions by blocking a blood clotting factor and thus reducing the tendency of the blood to form clots. Rivaroxaban can also prevent or reduce damage caused by stroke, clots in your lungs, or other blood vessels. It can also reduce the likeliness of a part of a clot to break off and travel to other parts of the body. You should take medicine regularly and make appropriate lifestyle modifications to help this medicine to be effective.
How to use
The recommended dose is one 2.5 mg tablet twice a day. Take it around the same time daily, one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. The medicine can be taken before or after consuming food. If you have trouble swallowing the pills, speak to your doctor about other ways to take Rivaflo 2.5 mg. One can crush the table or mix it with water or apple puree immediately before you take it. The medicine may need to be stopped for one or more days before any dental procedure. Your doctor will tell you when to discontinue treatment and when you begin it again after your procedure or surgery. If you need to discontinue for any reason, speak to your doctor who has prescribed this medicine to you to find out when you should stop taking it.
Precautions
Rivafo 2.5 mg is contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding and severe hypersensitivity reaction to Rivaroxaban.
Do not take Rivaflo if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If there is a chance that you could become pregnant, use a reliable birth control method while you are taking an antithrombotic agent. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, inform your doctor, he will decide how you should be treated. Rivaroxaban may cause dizziness or fainting. You should not drive or use any tools or machines if you are affected by these symptoms. Rivaroxaban is not recommended in children under six months of age, who were less than 37 weeks of growth at birth, or who weigh less than 2.6 kg. The medicine should be cautiously used in elderly patients. Talk to your doctor before giving it to your child.
Side effects
The most common side effects of taking Rivaflo are bleeding, pain, and swelling in the limbs, nausea, indigestion, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, headache, rash, dizziness, low blood pressure, and itchy skin. Talk to your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
