Silodal 4mg
Silodal 4 mg treat signs and symptoms of Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men. It is an effective remedy for men with lower urinary tract symptoms due to bladder obstruction caused by BPH. Silodosin, the active ingredient in the medicine, is thought to improve lower urinary tract symptoms while minimizing side effects.
What are the benefits of Silodal?
Silodal 4 mg is a prescription treatment for patients with BPH. Patients suffering from BPH develop lower urinary tract symptoms such as slow urine flow, waking up during the night to urinate, and incomplete emptying of the bladder. If these symptoms are bothersome enough to require treatment, Silodal is an option. The drug has the active ingredient Silodosin which works in the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder to improve urine flow. Silodosin is safe and effective when given 4 mg once daily to patients over 65 years. Consult your doctor for more information. The product is not indicated for use in women and children.
How to use Silodal 4mg?
In general, Silodal 4 mg is consumed orally once daily with a meal. No dose adjustment is required for patients with mild renal and hepatic impairment. However, if you have moderate liver or kidney problems, it is best to consult a doctor before taking medicine.
If you have difficulty swallowing, capsules may carefully open the capsule and sprinkle the powder inside on a tablespoon of applesauce. Swallow the applesauce immediately within five minutes, following with water to ensure complete swallowing of the powder. Make sure the applesauce is soft enough to swallow without chewing. Any powder with applesauce should be used immediately within five minutes.
What precautions should be taken?
Silodal should not be given to patients with known hypersensitivity to Silodosin or any components of this formulation. Patients with severe hepatic or liver insufficiency should not use a Silodal capsule.
Concomitant use of alpha blockers such as tenazosin, prazosin, and doxazosin is prohibited.
A reduction in blood pressure can occur in individual cases during treatment with Silodal. You should sit or lie down at the first signs of hypotension (low blood pressure) until the symptoms have disappeared. Before beginning treatment with this medicine, you should be cautioned to avoid situations where injury could result in syncope (loss of consciousness) caused by a drop in blood pressure.
What are the side effects of Silodal 4 mg?
Retrograde ejaculation and dizziness are the most frequent side effects of Silodal. Retrograde ejaculation is reversible upon discontinuation of the treatment.
