Tazret gel .05% 15gm (Tazarotene)
Tazret Gel 0.05% is recommended to treat plaque psoriasis, acne, and sun-damaged skin (photodamage). This retinoid medication can be prescribed to remove psoriasis and acne. It has the quality to improve skin texture and decrease skin inflammation related to psoriasis. The gel has an active ingredient called Tazarotene that can slow down the production of skin cells responsible for inflaming the skin. It helps speed the healing of acne and reduces fine lines. The product does not work over face parenthesis or deep wrinkles.
The active ingredient of Tazret Gel, Tazarotene, belongs to a type of medication (topical retinoid). It’s like vitamin A, which can lower the production of skin cells, causing scaly and inflamed areas. This element can exfoliate the skin to improve its appearance and texture.
How to use Tazret Gel?
You should use this medicine only under prescription. Applying Tazret gel on the affected area once or twice a day is enough to eliminate plaque psoriasis, acne, and sun-damaged skin. Don’t wash your skin immediately after applying this gel; let it remain for 2-3 hours.
Continue using Tazret Gel .05% (15gm) as long as your physician recommends. If you have missed a dose of Tazret Gel, apply it as soon as you notice. But, if you are close to the time for your next dose, then skip the missed application. Store this formulation at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it away from children and pets.
Precautions and warnings
Some medicines and salt interactions may influence the effects of Tazret Gel when taken together. The topical agent may interact with some medicines and salts, including:
- Methoxsalen
- Salicylic acid
- Vitamin A products
- Aminolevulinic acid
- Skin products containing alcohol/lime/spice
- Sulfur
Certain precautions are needed while using Tazret Gel .05; these include:
- Avoid exposure to sunlight
- Don’t use this gel if you are allergic to Tazarotene
- This medication must not be used during pregnancy
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, mucous membranes or abraded skin
- Take precautions to not use creams or cosmetics within 1 hour of applying Tazarotene.
Side Effects of Tazret Gel
There are various possible side effects of Tazret Gel as they may occur in all the constituting molecules of this cream. Such side effects include skin burning or stinging, dryness, pruritus, peeling, irritation, rashes, skin lines, localized edema, worsening of psoriasis, skin discoloration, and photosensitivity.
