Triolmezest 5/12.5/40mg
Triolmezest is a prescription medicine that contains three active ingredients, namely:
- Olmesartan: It belongs to a group of medicines called angiotensin-II receptor antagonists, which lowers blood pressure by causing blood vessels to relax.
- Amlodipine: It belongs to a group of drugs known as calcium channel blockers, which also work by widening the blood vessels, thus relieving pressure
- Hydrochlorothiazide: It is one of the groups of drugs called thiazide diuretics. It reduces blood pressure by helping the body to get rid of extra fluid by making your kidneys more urine.
All three medications contribute to decreasing your blood pressure. Medications that lower blood pressure lower your risk of stroke or a heart attack. Combination therapy is an effective strategy to increase antihypertensive efficacy in patients with poor blood pressure control. To achieve blood pressure targets, most patients may require combination therapy, which is particularly effective for patients with cardiovascular risk.
Drinking alcohol during the treatment can cause you to have low blood pressure.
