Volibo M 0.2/500 mg
Volibo M is a combination of Voglibose and metformin. It is used when other medicines and lifestyle changes are insufficient to manage your diabetes. You may need Volibo M, healthy eating, and physical activity to manage your Type 2 diabetes. You can take this antidiabetic agent orally by mouth. Oral medication act in a way that lowers the sugar level in the bloodstream.
Each Volibo M tablet combines Metformin and Voglibose as the active ingredients. Metformin helps decreases blood glucose by decreasing hepatic glucose production. At the same time, Voglibose improves blood sugar levels in insulin-dependent diabetic patients with intensive insulin therapy. The excellent safety profile and tolerability, coupled with moderate efficacy, make them suitable for use as monotherapy.
How to use
Volibo M is available in the form of a tablet that should be taken every day at about the same time. Swallow the pill whole with water without breaking, crushing, or chewing it. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. Your health care specialist may perform routine blood tests to check for low blood sugar levels and to ensure proper metabolic function. Let your doctor know if you find any changes in your weight, especially if you gain weight. Continue to take medicine until the prescribed amount is over, or even if symptoms disappear after a few doses. Stopping the medicine before the prescribed time may result in the return of the infection.
Tell your doctor if you cannot find improvement even after completing the course or if your condition worsens. If a user has overdosed accidentally and has serious symptoms such as trouble breathing, immediately rush to an emergency care room.
Precautions
Do not take Volibo M if you are allergic to Metformin, Voglibose, or other medicine ingredients. Also, avoid taking the fixed-dose combination diabetes medicine if you have Type 1 diabetes, severe liver disease, or diabetic ketoacidosis (when the blood acid level in your body is raised). Talk to your doctor if you have kidney problems, severe illness, liver problems, or you are about to have major surgery.
The oral antidiabetic medicine may affect your ability to drive or operate machines if your blood sugar is low or high. Keep in your mind that you could endanger yourself or others.
Side effects
Some diabetes medicines, including Volibo M 0.2, can cause Hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) if you do not balance your medicines with foods and activity or take any other antidiabetic drug. Ask your doctor how you can treat episodes of Hypoglycaemia. Other side effects of the medicine are upset stomach and weight gain.
