Volix M 0.3/500 mg is a combination of Voglibose and Metformin, which belongs to a class of medications known as antidiabetic agents. It is prescribed for treating patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and treatment with single agents fail to control blood sugar levels. The combination of Voglibose and Metformin helps to control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
How to use
Volix M 0.3/500 mg should be used before a meal or with the first drink or food of the day. The dose and duration should be followed exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Swallow the tablet whole with water immediately after taking the pill from the strip. Do not break, chew, or crush the tablet. It may take up to a few weeks for the medicine to work, so you must take it regularly, even if you feel it is not doing any good.
Precautions
Volix M tablet may be unsafe to use by patients with kidney impairment. The antidiabetic agent may make it hard for your kidney to perform essential functions like removing waste from the body or keeping your blood pressure steady. And if your kidneys are already damaged, be sure to talk to your doctor. This combination medicine should be taken by pregnant women only when recommended by the doctors. Volix M should not be taken unless your doctor says it is necessary to use it during breastfeeding. The drug may pass into the breast milk and harm the baby.
Mixing medicines and alcohol may increase the risk of side effects or complications, decrease the effectiveness of medicines, or even make them useless. Therefore, alcohol is not advisable. Side effects
Volix M is generally well tolerated when taken as advised by the doctor. Most side effects are usually mild and resolve on their own. Antidiabetic drugs may also cause low blood sugar signs, including shaking, anger, confusion, sweating, and a fast heartbeat. However, if they seem to persist for a longer duration, please talk to your doctor.
Side effects that may or may not occur during the usage of this medicine include diarrhoea, stomach pain, flatulence, low blood sugar levels, and allergic reactions to any of the compounds in the medicine.
