Zenegra 100mg
Zenegra 100mg contains Sildenafil, a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction. It causes the penile muscles to relax, allowing more blood to flow into your penis when sexually aroused. The erectile dysfunction drugs will only help you get an erection if you are sexually excited. Based on efficacy and tolerance, your doctor may decrease your dose. Sildenafil 100 mg is the maximum recommended dose. The dosing frequency is usually recommended by doctors once a day.
How to use (infographics and instructions)
For most patients, the usual suggested dose is 100mg approximately one hour before sexual activity. If you take it with food, the onset of activity may be delayed compared to the fasted state. The medicine is not for use in children. Based on efficacy and toleration, the dose should be adjusted in elderly patients. The dosing recommendations for use in adults with mild to moderate renal and hepatic impairment should be followed under medical supervision.
Precautions (warning, allergy, things to remember)
Use of Zenegra 100mg is not recommended in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sildenafil or any other inactive ingredients of the formulation. The ED medication was shown to potentiate the hypotensive effects of acute and chronic nitrates, and its co-administration with nitric oxide in any forms is therefore contraindicated. Medications that must not be used concomitantly include sodium nitroprusside, nicorandil amyl nitrite, isosorbide salts, or organic nitrates in any form. Sildenafil citrate formulation should not be used with riociguat as it may potentially lead to symptomatic hypotension. The erectile dysfunction drug should be used in men whose sexual intercourse is inadvisable due to cardiovascular risk factors or patients with severe cardiovascular disease such as unstable angina pectoris and cardiac failure. Discuss with your doctor before taking this ED drug. The medication is not recommended in patients with ED with a history of non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy, defined as a loss of blood flow to the optic nerve.
It is important to undergo a physical examination to diagnose ED to determine potential underlying causes of the condition and identify appropriate treatment. Before initiating ED treatment, doctors should consider the patient’s cardiovascular status, including those with recent angina, since there is a risk of cardiovascular complications associated with the use of this sexual dysfunction drug. Sildenafil is known to have vasodilator properties, causing a significant reduction in blood pressure. Your doctor may ask you to discontinue treatment and seek immediate medical help if a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes is detected. Such symptoms could be an indication that you have non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy. In case of sudden visual loss, patients should discontinue treatment and consult an ophthalmologist straight away.
ED medications, including Zenegra 100, should be used with caution in patients with deformation of the penis or patients with conditions such as leukaemia, multiple myeloma, and sickle cell anaemia. The safety and effectiveness of Zenegra 100 mg pill with other PDE5 inhibitors containing Sildenafil have not been established.
Side Effects of Zenegra 100mg
Treatment with Zenegra 100 is well tolerated. The discontinuation rate due to side effects was lower in clinical trials. The side effects are generally mild to moderate in nature.
When Sildenafil was used as recommended, side effects include nasal congestion, diarrhoea, rash, dizziness, flushing, abnormal vision, dyspepsia, urinary tract infection, and headache. Other side effects include back pain, flu syndrome, arthralgia, and respiratory tract infection. Men taking Sildenafil 100 mg may rarely experience angina pectoris, myocardial ischaemia, palpitations, heart failure, cardiac arrest, cardiomyopathy, colitis, gastritis, stomatitis, dry mouth, nausea, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, stomatitis, anaemia, and leukaemia.
